“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Read all of Colossians 3

This a pretty clear verse.  It’s not so much a matter of whether we know what it means or how we might fulfill what it suggests, but rather how we will incorporate it into our lives.

What does this verse urge upon us?  1. Read, and perhaps more importantly, remember the words of Scripture.  2. Use this Word to teach and admonish each other. 3. Let the Word of God dwell in your and flow from you in song.

Intriguing connection to this teaching from Christ in John 15: 7   “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”  The word “words” (raama) is not Scripture in general, but individual and interconnected words.

Interesting don’t you think?
